History of DenteMax

DenteMax was founded in 1985 by Ed Cleland. Ed believed that preferred provider networks were the best way to deliver high-quality, cost-effective dental care.

Ed recruited a small number of dentists in the Metro Detroit area, and then went door-to-door to local businesses to lease the network. As more businesses signed on, Ed turned his attention back to recruiting more dentists and the cycle continued until Ed had established a strong foundation in Michigan.

DenteMax eventually expanded into Ohio and California, and gradually throughout the entire United States to become the nation’s largest leasable dental PPO network.
