John Doyle, President and CEO

John Doyle John Doyle brings over 17 years of experience in the dental benefit industry. He joined Dental Network of America (DNoA) in 2006 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing where he was responsible for dental sales, marketing and product development. John was promoted to President and CEO in 2008, and then in July of 2009 also became President of DenteMax, a DNoA subsidiary. Prior, John worked with both WellPoint Dental Services and Prudential HealthCare in dental sales, training and product development roles. He also worked with First Commonwealth where his responsibilities included DHMO network recruitment, small group/individual dental sales and account management. John received his bachelor's degree in Marketing from Illinois State University and also holds his ACC/Health Producers License.

Mike Miller, Vice President of Dental Network

Mike Miller Mike Miller joined Dental Network of America (DNoA) in October 2007 as the Vice President of Dental Networks. In July of 2009, Mike now also runs the Dental Networks for DenteMax, a DNoA subsidiary. In this role he oversees the development and support of our dental PPO and HMO provider networks. Mike has nearly 30 years of experience in the health insurance field. He has held a variety of management roles in claims, product development and managed care. Mike graduated with high honors from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Craig Simundza, Treasurer

Craig Simundza Craig Simundza has 27 years of financial experience within the insurance industry. He has worked at Dental Network of America (DNoA) since 2000, overseeing the Corporate Finance and Regulatory Compliance functions. Since July of 2009, Craig is now also the Treasurer of DenteMax, a DNoA subsidiary. Craig is a Certified Public Accountant with a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University, and a master's degree from Northern Illinois University.

Melissa Wagner, Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Melissa Wagner Melissa Wagner is a veteran in the dental benefits industry, bringing more than 25 years of extensive dental industry knowledge to DenteMax. Melissa began her career in Dental Office Management and went on to excel in Member Services, New Business Development and Account Management positions with United Concordia. As a result of her varying experiences, Melissa is in the unique position of being able to understand the dental industry from three important perspectives: the dental provider, the administrator, and the dental network manager.

Since 1999 Melissa has managed all aspects of client relationships, including major accounts, as well as guiding the strategic direction for both Sales and Marketing at DenteMax. During her tenure as Vice President of Sales and Service, Melissa has assisted existing client partners in developing programs to retain and grow their dental business, as well as establishing new and innovative client partner relationships, resulting in strong revenue retention and growth opportunities for DenteMax.

Melissa has customized DenteMax’s approach to both sales and service by developing a focus on market segments. This focus has allowed for the creation of customized solutions for client partners based on the specific needs of their segment with a concentration on network recruitment strategies ensuring dental claims savings for the member, group and administrator, in addition to the growth of the DenteMax network. This has contributed to DenteMax being recognized in all business segments as the largest leasable dental PPO network in the country.

Richard J. Werther, Vice President, Finance and Administration

Richard Werther Prior to joining DenteMax in February 2007, Richard held various financial positions where he gained valuable knowledge and insight into the world of finance. His experience and skills make him a natural fit to oversee DenteMax’s Finance, Administration and Compliance departments.

He began his career in public accounting in the audit department at Price Waterhouse, and then moved to AT&T shortly before the Bell System divestiture. During his thirteen years with AT&T, Richard held a number of financial positions, including working in both the equipment and consumer long distance divisions. In 1991, he transferred to Michigan to take the controller position at AT&T College and University Solutions in Ann Arbor.

Richard joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in 1997 as Director of Management Accounting with main responsibilities being budgeting, cost accounting and administrative cost reporting. While in this position, Richard started the company’s participation in an external benchmark study that has evolved to be crucial in budget targeting and cost reduction.

A native of Long Island, NY, Richard is a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, where he majored in business administration with a concentration in accounting. He also holds a CPA certificate from the state of New Jersey.

Dr. Glenn Melenyk, Dental Director

Dr. Glenn Melenyk Dr. Glenn Melenyk’s career began in 1976 when he graduated from the University of Detroit Dental School. He practiced dentistry in several settings over the next 13 years, including the management of his own practice as a solo practitioner and later practicing in a large group setting.

In 1989 Dr. Melenyk transitioned to the insurance industry, he began reviewing claims and managed the dental department for a small insurance carrier. The carrier had a relationship with DenteMax. In 1991 Dr. Melenyk joined the DenteMax team as Executive Vice President with responsibilities for the day to day operations of the company.

In 1999 Dr. Melenyk joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as a senior dental consultant, and maintained several responsibilities including claims review, direction of the dental HMO, and dental audit.

In 2007 Dr. Melenyk rejoined the DenteMax team and is responsible for the development and evaluation of policies and dental plans, management of UR/UM, and serves as a liaison to client partners to provide his expertise and knowledge of oral health care practices and research.

Dr. Melenyk serves as a liaison for DenteMax to the dental community. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and Detroit District Dental Society. Dr. Melenyk is also a Certified Dental Consultant and member of the American Association of Dental Consultants. He is also a contributing writer for the Journal of the Michigan Dental Association on topics concerning dental benefits.
