Is DenteMax my insurance company?
No, DenteMax is not an insurance company. DenteMax is a Preferred Provider Network of independent dentists who have agreed to accept a set fee schedule when receiving payment for dental services. When you choose a DenteMax dentist, you can save on out-of-pocket expenses.
Do I call DenteMax to find out what dental services are covered?
Since DenteMax is solely a dental network, we cannot determine benefit levels or what services are covered. You must call your Plan Administrator at the number on your ID card to find out that information.
Do I have to remain with the same dentist after I choose one?
No, you may switch providers at any time with no waiting periods or forms to fill out. But remember, if you switch to a dentist who does not participate with DenteMax, your out-of-pocket expenses may be significantly higher.
How do I make my first appointment?
Before you make an appointment, you should know your benefit levels. To get this information, contact your Plan Administrator using the number on your ID card. Then contact the DenteMax dentist you have selected and schedule your appointment. Make sure you let the dentist office know that you are a DenteMax member along with your insurance plan, and confirm that they are a DenteMax dentist. You may need to show your ID card at your first appointment, so be sure to bring it with you.
If my dentist is not participating with DenteMax, how can I get him/her to join?
Contact your dentist and advise him/her that you now have DenteMax.
